A new brand has been launched by the Money & Pensions Service that brings together three consumer services it was previously operating.

The Money & Pensions Service was launched in 2019 to operate three well-known services providing consumers with financial guidance and support. These were the Money Advice Service, the Pensions Advisory Service, and Pension Wise.

Officials from MaPS have confirmed these three brands are no longer active, as they have been rolled into one new brand called MoneyHelper. It is hoped the consolidation of the brands will make it far easier for consumers to get the information they need, save them time and inconvenience, and provide a better user experience.

Extensive research led to creation of single brand

MaPS conducted extensive consumer research and financial analysis before merging the three brands. It concluded that having one service that all consumers could turn to would provide greater ease and convenience for those looking for support and advice relating to finance and pensions.

Officials from MaPS also believe that having one central destination rather than three individual ones will make the service far more accessible.

The new service launched on 30th June, at which point the three former legacy brands became inactive. While consumers can still go onto the Money Advice Service, Pensions Advisory Service, and Pension Wise websites, they are now redirected to the most relevant section of the new MoneyHelper site.

All content has now been moved over to MoneyHelper from the other three brand sites. MaPS has confirmed that the services it provides will not change. However, they will now be delivered in one place, which will prove beneficial for those who want to access the services.
